Mark Plunkett is an Executive Vice President with Hilltop Holdings (NYSE: HTH) and is the Chief Investment Officer and Managing Partner of Hilltop OpportunityPartners. Before joining Hilltop, Mr. Plunkett co-founded and ran Hilliard Street Capital, a Blackstone and Bridger seeded long/short equity fund and previously was a partner with AtlasCapital. Prior to that, he worked with the Washington, D.C. based Carlyle Group, with Hicks, Muse, Tate, and Furst in Mexico City, and Cardinal Investment Company in Dallas. Mr. Plunkett currently serves as a Senior Advisor to the NY based private equity fund Argand Capital as well as the lead director of a Dallas based bakery company and a Hong Kong based global toy company. Mr. Plunkett also serves on the board of multiple Hilltop portfolio companies ranging from industrial manufacturing to youth sports. Mr. Plunkett started his career as a Business Analyst with McKinsey & Company.

Philanthropically, Mr. Plunkett is active with various educational organizations including Boardsat both Southern Methodist University and Harvard Business School in addition to serving as a director for the Texas Business Hall of Fame and as a member of the Dallas Assembly.

Mr. Plunkett earned a B.B.A. and B.S. from Southern Methodist University graduating magna cum laude with honors and received his M.B.A. from Harvard BusinessSchool. Mr. Plunkett is also a U.S. Fulbright Scholar.
